Invite To Fraud & Scam Information Session

0

Liverpool City Council are inviting carers of – and those working with – vulnerable people to attend an information session on scams and frauds.

Merseyside Police are working in partnership with the Home Office to provide training for carers of and those working with vulnerable people.  Every year the British public lose billions of pounds to fraudsters who bombard victims online, by email, door to door and telephone scams.

Scams target people of all backgrounds, age and income levels though some adults may be especially vulnerable to financial abuse and for this reason it is imperative that those who care for, or work with, vulnerable people are informed of the various frauds/scams being perpetrated.

The dates of the information sessions will be as follows:

  • Thursday 25th June, 10am – 12.30pm
  • Thursday 25th June, 1.30pm – 4pm
  • Friday 26th June, 10am – 12.30pm

All sessions will take place at Croxteth Hall, Croxteth Hall Lane, L12 0HB.

Booking is essential. To book a place, please email:  stating your name, place of work, email/telephone number and preferred date and time. You will then be contacted via email to confirm your place and provide directions to the venue.

If you have any queries or have any additional requirements, please call: 0151 233 0805/0809.

Please note that failure to attend may result in you being charged a fee for your place.
