Disability Related Hate Crime in Wirral

Community Action Wirral are working in partnership with Wirral Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board to gain a snapshot of local people’s experience of disability hate crime.

It is our wish that all Wirral residents feel able to live without the fear of crime.

We have developed a series of surveys in an effort to gather people’s experiences of Disability Hate Crime, be they witnesses or victims. We would like your help to understand hate crimes aimed at people with a disability.

We have developed a survey that will enable us to measure support available and reporting avenues currently available in Wirral. This will also allow you to give an organisation’s perspective of disability hate crime in Wirral. To complete this survey please follow the link below:

Once you have completed the above survey, we would like your support in gathering the views and experiences of your clients and service users on this topic, either on a one-to-one basis or in focus groups. To do this, you can either encourage service users to complete the Disability Hate Crime Survey (For Individuals) or download the PDF and return it to us using the freepost address found within.

The information we gather will help us to make the case for safer services and public transport and to ensure that the best support and services are provided for victims of crime.
