0 HELP SOMEONE WITH DEMENTIA TO DO THE THINGS THEY LOVE
We are looking for a few Side by Side volunteers. We’re looking for male or female, any age but preferably with their own car. We have a few people with dementia that we are looking to match with volunteers that have slightly reduced mobility and are not really able to get public transport, these people are interested in getting out and about. We also have a couple of people with dementia that are just looking for volunteers to visit them at home to chat in more of a befriending role.

Side by Side is a new Alzheimer’s Society service on the Wirral which helps people with dementia to keep doing the things they love – or try new things – with the support of a volunteer.
0 Wirral Met College Volunteering Fair – 23th – 26th May 2017 invites organisations to attend.
Once again, the Fair will provide an opportunity for your organisation to attend one or more of the events in the hope that this will be mutually beneficial as we try and promote the concept and value of volunteering to our student community .

We have had inquiries from a couple of organisations with a large number of volunteers wanting to support local projects for one to three days.
