Celtic Roots Community Music Academy are holding adult music workshops for all standards and abilities on Wednesday evenings at Thornton Hough Village Club.
Celtic Roots Community Music Academy is a social enterprise which specialises in the provision of Celtic music programmes and tuition (e.g. tin whistle, Irish Drum, flute, fiddle, accordion, guitar, ukulele, etc) for children and adults in the community.
Founded by two Wirral-based music specialists, the aim is to bring the community together to experience, explore and share the possibilities of learning to play a musical instrument. During these sessions people discover our common cultural heritage and Celtic traditions which prompt their own memories and encourage them to share their stories with the group, and form associations with others interested in the music.
Evenings start with an Introduction to Theory at 6.30pm and follow with Irish Drumming at 7.15pm and Evening Session Workshops at 8.15pm. The evening concludes with time to socialise until 10.15pm… ish!
Classes cost just £5 each. So why not come along to what is reputed to be the friendliest community music making in the Wirral!
