Community groups, charities, schools and colleges in the North West are being invited to apply for help from the newly re-launched Our Space, Your Place scheme. Through the Our Space, Your Place programme house builder David Wilson Homes offers its support to community activities and projects. Since the scheme launched in 2011 David Wilson Homes has supported over fifty community projects across the North West of England. It has also spend more than £40,000 on good causes. They are now inviting applications from the local community for support, anything from £100 up to a maximum of £1,000. David Wilson Homes sales director, Steve Jackson said: “We are looking for projects that will genuinely change the lives of the local community for the better. “Every David Wilson Homes development becomes an integral part of the surrounding community. Innovation Fund for Prevent 2015 The purpose of this Home Office call for proposals is to develop innovative solutions addressing new methods and /or technologies to protect vulnerable people from being drawn into terrorism. Award: Up to £100,000 per project Registration closes: 25 Nov 2015, 12:00 Deadline Closes: 02 Dec 2015, 12:00 Support phone number: 0300 321 4357. To address this challenge, the Innovation Fund for Prevent has been established with the aim of supporting the following types of activities: Particularly innovative projects developing new methods and /or developing new technologies with a potential for replication nationally, Projects promoting understanding and learning, identification and dissemination of best practices, Pilot projects, including in sectors covered by the Prevent duty, We are particularly interested in proposals that respond to the ideological challenge of terrorism and the threat we face from those who promote it; protect vulnerable people from being drawn into terrorism; and work with sectors and institutions where there are risks of radicalisation that we need to address.
The call will close at noon on 2 December 2015.
Erasmus + Application deadlines for 2016, along with the latest version of the Programme Guide, have been published by the European Commission. The European Commission publishes a Call for Proposals each year – this provides high-level details on programme eligibility, award criteria, budgets and application deadlines so that you can apply for funding for your projects.
MOD Covenant Fund. There are 2 application routes: small grants for funding applications up to £20,000; and large grants for applications between £20,001 and £500,000. Please note: only the small grants route is open at the moment. The large grants route will reopen in Spring 2016, when the new priorities have been given to the Covenant Fund. If you are thinking of applying for a small grant, you must read and make sure you understand the information in the relevant guidance notes, as this will help you to decide if your project is eligible and meets our criteria.
Funding is very limited, so we will only be able to fund the very best projects. For applications up to £20,000: please follow this small grants application form and make sure you submit it before 17 December 2015. if you have submitted an application for the first deadline in September we will contact you in late November to let you know whether your project has been successful or not. if you have submitted an application before the deadline, thank you and unless your project is ineligible or incomplete, we will now not contact you until decisions have been made in late November
First Steps Enterprise Fund is a £300,000 pilot fund offering loan-grant packages to charities and social enterprises working in communities in England. From 19 October 2015, small community-led organisations can apply for up to £30,000 from to help them grow their services and become more sustainable. The investments are the first steps towards accessing the wider social investment market and more financing options. It is a pilot partnership between Asda Foundation and the Social Investment Business Foundation. The fund intends to catalyse other UK corporate foundations to use their money innovatively to create social impact in communities across the country. It will complement Asda Foundation’s other programmes and will meet their aim of creating stronger and more sustainable communities. Deadline for applications to be considered for the next investment panel is noon Friday 11 December 2015.

NEW BURSARY SCHEME FOR CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The TSNLA CPD Needs in the Third Sector report identified that on the whole small providers are not able to access CPD opportunities – very often not knowing what is available and even when aware not able to fund it. With support from the Education and Training Foundation the TSNLA is operating a CPD bursary scheme to enable staff in the third sector to access appropriate CPD opportunities. If you or your staff need to go on a course but don’t have the funds to pay for it or don’t have the travel costs then this scheme is for you.The funding pot is limited so we will be keeping the application process as simple as possible.
