Wirral Change is a local charity who supports Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) and disadvantaged communities in Wirral through a range of support services, including helping people back into work and tackling a range of health issues including drug and alcohol misuse, smoking and mental health issues.
International Women’s Day (INWODA) is an occasion marked by women’s groups around the world; it is commemorated at the United Nations and is designated in many countries as a national holiday. When women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate their Day, they can look back to a tradition that represents at least ten decades of struggle for equality, justice, peace and development.
Wirral Change Wirral will be hosting an event on Friday, 10th March, 2017, 10.00am – 2.00pm at St Laurence’s School, St Laurence Drive, Birkenhead, CH41 3JD and we would like to invite you to join us in celebrating this special day. If you would like a table on the day please return the reply slip below by fax or email as soon as possible please. Please ensure that the person who is in attendance is FEMALE and please let us know how many representatives will be attending. Unfortunately, NO LARGE free standing banners can be accommodated. ALL ORGANISATIONS will need to be at St Laurence’s School for 9.00 am to set-up their tables.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding this event is at risk. To ensure we can go ahead with this year’s celebration, we are asking for a £30 donation for providers per table. We feel this is an appropriate fee and providers have the opportunity to promote their services to local women attending the event. Last year over 400 women attended.
If you are able, it would be appreciated if you are able to donate gifts for the raffle.
