Healthwatch Wirral have published their annual report for 2014/15.
The report reveals that, even though these are difficult times, Healthwatch Wirral remains positive about the future of health and care services.
This view is informed by the views of the public that have been fed back to Healthwatch Wirral staff and volunteers, which have, in turn, been fed back to Commissioners and Providers to ensure experiences are learned from and used in the design and delivery of care.
The feedback also revealed that, where Healthwatch Wirral have been involved, things have improved.
This is due, in part, to Healthwatch Wirral having a statutory seat on the Health and Wellbeing Board, which ensures that the experiences of patients, carers and other service users are taken into account when local needs assessments and strategies are prepared.
