Scope’s new Sleep Service provides support for families of disabled children and those with additional needs

In December 2015 scope received a three year lottery fund to run a sleep service across Greater Merseyside and Wirral

The new Sleep Service provides support for families of disabled children and those with additional needs, aged between two and 19, who have severe sleep problems.

Sleep disorders can present themselves in different ways. Your child may be unable to fall asleep, may wake numerous times through the night or wake ready for the day in the very early hours. If your child is finding it hard to sleep, then we bet you and the rest of your family are too.

The Sleep Coordinator who along with the two sleep practitioners will be responsible for offering the service.

This support will include one to one work with parents, sleep solutions workshops for parents and professionals and sleep focussed drop in sessions for parents to gain hints, tips and support for their child’s sleep issues. For further information please contact Jean Brown on 07435 964605 or email [email protected]
