Merseyside Community Investment Fund – (formerly known as the Merseyside 100 fund) aims to bring together businesses, organisations and individuals to address urgent social issues whilst making a modest financial commitment to collectively have a greater impact in the improvement of our communities. The fund aims to support projects that may struggle to access funding from other sources. As funding for this programme is unrestricted grants awarded from this fund can be used to respond to local issues of concern to the community or pro-actively tackle an urgent social need. The panel is also keen to fund projects that fit in with the social themes identified in our recent Vital Signs report, which can be viewed at http://www.cfmerseyside.org.uk/Vital-Signs Up to £1000 (or more in exceptional circumstances) is available. Priority will be given to the following: Projects that target disadvantage and or deprivation; Projects that encourage the community to take a pro-active approach to make a difference in their communities; Ongoing activities rather than one off events; Groups with small reserves as long as they are viable; Innovative projects that would not be normally considered for funding by corporate driven criteria. The Prince’s Countryside Fund provides funding towards projects that clearly contribute towards one or more of The Prince’s Countryside Fund’s objectives. We want our funding to have a long term positive effect on rural communities, helping those that live and work there sustain the countryside, by tackling key rural issues. Thriving Rural Communities – projects that provide innovative solutions to deliver assets and services that keep rural communities together and develop a more sustainable rural economy i.e. empowering communities to provide village services or create business hubs and employment for local people. Rural Livelihoods – projects that focus on developing stronger, more sustainable farm and rural enterprises with the aim of halting the decline of the rural economy i.e. providing rural businesses with support and advice or supporting farmer led initiatives. Farmers of the Future – projects that help improve skills and increase opportunities of taking up rural careers, in particular in farming, with the aim of remaining within and contributing to the rural economy i.e. training opportunities and apprenticeship schemes, inspiring and enabling new entrants to consider a career in farming.

Wirral Council is inviting applications for the provision of a Nicotine and Smoking Cessation Treatment Service. The Council is looking for: A system delivered by a Lead Provider. This can take the form of: A consortia. A partnership. Any other joint working arrangement. An Integrated Nicotine and Smoking Cessation Treatment system that offers the highest levels of performance, effectiveness and quality. A reduction in smoking prevalence. A reduction in nicotine addiction. A reduction in exposure to second-hand smoke and associated risk. Dynamism, flexibility and creativeness. Wirral Council is seeking to commission a service provider to deliver an accessible tier 2 lifestyle adult weight management service, which delivers improved outcomes and provides excellent value for money for the residents of Wirral. It is intended that service delivery will display the highest levels of innovation, quality and performance and will be financially incentivised through contractual terms. The service will support obese adults (and overweight adults with co-morbidities) to lose weight and learn how to maintain a healthier weight. The service will form an integral part of the local weight management care pathway and aim to impact positively on obesity-related Public Health Outcomes Framework targets. The successful provider will be required to manage and deliver an evidence based service across Wirral however there should be a particular focus on target areas (such as people from more deprived areas) and population groups (ie men) to ensure equity of access to the service. The service will advertise and promote itself to referrers such as Health Care Professionals and the general public in order to generate referrals and self-referrals accordingly. Ministry of Defence Aged Veterans Fund This fund is available over five years and will fund projects that support non-core health, wellbeing and social care needs for older veterans (born before 1st January 1950) including surviving World War 2 veterans, those who undertook National Service and other voluntary enlisted veterans who may need some focused support in relation to their health and social care needs. The D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust funds United Kingdom Registered Charities operating in the UK in the fields of the advancement of the arts, health and medical welfare and environmental protection or improvement. The majority of the Trust’s grants are single grants over a one-year period. Occasionally longer-term grants (usually up to 3 years) are agreed by the Trustees when deemed to have particular merit. The Trustees will consider applications for core costs or projects, and they also consider applications for matched funding. As of 1st April 2015 all grant applications to the Trust should be made online. However, if you need a version of the application form in a more accessible format please email [email protected]
stating your preferred format. The Trustees usually consider applications three times a year in March, July and November. The next grant making meeting will be on the 24th November 2015 and the final closing date for the submission of online applications for this meeting is the 24th October 2015.
