The Theatres Trust is welcoming applications up to £5,000 from its Theatres Protection Fund Small Grants Scheme. The Scheme aims to target theatres run by charities and not-for-profit groups that can clearly demonstrate the value capital improvements to their theatres would make to their work with local communities. Small capital building projects that address urgent building repairs, improve operational viability, introduce environmental improvements, and which enhance physical accessibility will be prioritised. Applications towards specific items within capital projects or capital projects under £250,000 will be prioritised. The deadline for the next round of applications is 5pm, Wednesday 27th May. The Royal British Legion’s External Grants Scheme is open to any charitable organisation operating as a charity for at least two years. It is intended to fund specialised projects or services for serving and/or ex-Service personnel and/or their families that are not already being provided by The Royal British Legion. Applications for projects supporting the following three outcome themes will be prioritised: Employment and Training; Family Support; Homelessness and Outreach. Application is a two stage process. Stage One applications will be considered on a monthly basis and a decision to invite the organisation to submit a Stage Two application will be communicated within one month. Applications will only be considered for ‘one off’ payments. The typical award is not likely to exceed £20,000 and smaller applications are encouraged. Salary contributions of up to £35,000 will be considered for projects supporting the ‘Homelessness and Outreach’ theme. The deadline for the next round of Stage One applications is 25th May. The Feminist Review Trust gives grants to projects in the UK and internationally that support women. In 2015 international applications will be particularly welcome in the following areas: Violence against women; Disabled women and girls; Women, sustainability and climate change. The Skipton Building Society’s Grassroots Giving community funding initiative provides financial and business support to community groups of all shapes and sizes across the UK. As they are looking to support smaller groups who struggle to find funding elsewhere, registered charities will not be considered. The deadline for applications is 31st July. From 1st September, successful applicants will be subjected to an online public vote. The winners of the online vote will then receive one of the 161 donations of £500 from the Grassroots Giving community funding initiative. The Skills & Opportunities Fund is open for applications for grants up to £35,000 from charities, social enterprises, community groups, state-funded schools and colleges based in the UK and Ireland.
