Funding is available from the Football funding for leagues scheme (outside of the National League System or below Step W4 in the Women’s Pyramid of Football) for the purchase of equipment that assists in the administration of the league. Grants of between £350 and £1,000 are available depending on the size of the league. The size of the league depends on the number of registered teams and will be based on £10 per team. However, leagues with 150 teams or more can apply for a grant of up to £1,200. If a league is not registered for VAT, then these costs can be included in the total cost and grant-aided. Grants may be claimed against the purchase of new computers, computer-related equipment or office equipment. To qualify for grant aid, the league must be: Located in England., FA or County FA sanctioned. Outside the National League System. Below Step W4 in the Women’s Pyramid of Football. 11-a-side/youth/mini-soccer/small-sided (non-commercial) league. Non-profit-making. Applications will only be accepted in the 2015/16 season from leagues that did not receive grant aid in 2014/15 from this scheme. Applicants should also note that for the current Season, grants will be capped at a maximum of £600 for computers and laptop computers, and a maximum of £450 for a tablet. Leagues purchasing computer equipment for a higher amount will need to pay the difference between the cost and grant aid. The deadline for applications is 2 May 2016.
The UK Small Grants Scheme aims to target theatres across the UK run by charities and not-for-profit groups that can clearly demonstrate the value capital improvements to their theatres would make to their work in local communities. Trustees of The Theatres Trust consider applications twice a year. The current Scheme will run to 2017. The maximum level of grant that can be awarded is £5,000. Priorities include small capital building projects that address urgent building repairs, improve operational viability, introduce environmental improvements, and enhance physical accessibility. Applications for technical equipment and refurbishment of soft furnishings are a low priority for the Scheme. When making decisions Trustees prioritise applications towards specific and recognisable items within capital projects under £250,000.
In reviewing applications Trustees take into account a project’s urgency, other resources available to the applicant and the extent to which the grant would make a significant difference to promoting the better protection of theatres. Funds are generally awarded where they are considered to have the most impact in realising an applicant’s capital project.
Wirral Borough Council – Support at Home – Provider Event – Wednesday 30th September The specification and associated tender documentation and information are being finalised and agreed. The Council anticipates the tender opportunity will be published on The Chest before the end of 2015. The Council and the Clinical Commissioning Group would like to share with providers their commissioning intentions for services which provide support to people in their own homes. These services are: Mobile Night Service (providing overnight domiciliary care between 22:00 and 08:00) 72 Hour Service (short term emergency support to prevent hospital admission and facilitate discharge) Extra Care (24 hour support for people living in Wirral’s Extra Care Housing schemes) Complex Domiciliary Care (for people with Continuing Health Care needs)
The Plunkett Foundation has partnered with Locality and received funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation to help urban communities access the support and resources needed to start up their community shop. Any urban community group or organisation in the UK can apply for funding to set up an urban community shop that will stock food and other basic provisions.
Successful communities will receive a finance package, to encourage fundraising from the community, a grant worth between £20,000 to £30,000 and loan-provision from £20,000 through one of the Urban Shop loan providers (Triodos, Ecology Building Society, and Community & Cooperative Finance). Match funding is required. This can be from a range of different sources, including community shares, other grants, or a loan, if borrowing is needed. The deadline for applications is 18 December 2015.
The Royal British Legion directly helps thousands of beneficiaries every year. But we also provide funds to other organisations, manage trusts and scholarship funds and help the wider Armed Forces community in many ways. Applications for projects supporting the following outcome themes will be prioritised: Employment and training, Family support, Homelessness and outreach, Supporting the elderly.
Stage One applications must be completed in the first instance, with successful applicants being invited to complete a Stage Two application. Please note that the Legion is not inviting applications for multi-year funding at this time. Applications will only be considered for ‘one off’ payments. Continuation funding may be applied for in following years. The typical grant award is not likely to exceed £50,000 – smaller applications are encouraged. The 2016 deadlines for Stage One applications are 26 February 2016, 31 May 2016, 31 August 2016, and 30 November 2016.
The Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is offering the one-off £1.5 million funding programme with the aim of delivering up to 100 pocket parks across the country in the first part of 2016. The programme will build on the success of a similar scheme in London, which has seen a number of pocket parks created across the capital. A pocket park, as defined for this programme, is a piece of land of up to 0.4 hectares (although many are around 0.02 hectares, the size of a tennis court) which may already be under grass but which is unused, undeveloped or derelict. The funding will support communities to develop new green spaces (or improve existing ones that are in poor condition) that provide people with better quality spaces; increasing opportunities for getting together, healthy living, relaxation, play, food growing and contact with nature. Grants of between £10,000 and £15,000 per project (up to £10,000 capital and up to £5,000 revenue) are available to create a pocket park in an urban area of deprivation in England. It can be a new site or an existing site, and all or part of a site, and it needs to be accessible and available for the community who wish to use it and ideally openly accessible to all. Constituted community groups such as a friends group, a tenants group, community gardeners association, coastal community teams, voluntary and community organisations or Business Improvement Districts can apply. The deadline for applications is 10 December 2015 (5pm).
