Working Futures
The Working Futures is a programme which is designed to support 16-29 year olds who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) in the Halton and Wirral areas.
We can offer a short, medium and long term programme to suit the young person’s individual needs. The short term programme is 6 days in total over two weeks, 3 days per week. The medium term programme will take place over a 10-12 week period which will run for 2 days per week. The long term programme will take place over 39 weeks which will run for 1 day per week.
The aim of the programme is to provide a personalised, flexible package of support to help the young people work towards a better future. Assistance within the programme will include employability and skills development, work experience and wider barrier removal. The time that the individual will spend on the programme will depend on the needs of that specific person.
We can help participants to increase confidence and self-esteem, achieve qualifications, develop employability skills, improve their English and Maths, undertake work related activities and, most importantly, progress and succeed in learning or work.
Everyone enrolling on to the programme is assessed to identify the help that they require. Once the programme is complete participants are supported to move on to employment, self-employment, apprenticeships, Further Education, training or volunteering.
