Wirral West Constituency Committee has again made available £50,000 for local organisations to bid for funding for local projects that will positively impact on the area through its Community Fund grants programme.
Wirral West Constituency Team is inviting bids for projects that will improve quality of life in Wirral West* and positively impact on local people and places. Up to £10,000 is available per ward, the minimum amount that you can apply for is £100 and the maximum amount is £1,000. Organisations/Groups may apply for one grant only. Umbrella groups can apply for additional grants but must discuss with the Constituency Team first.
To be eligible for a grant you must be first applying on behalf of one of the organisations or groups below and based in Wirral West:
- Registered Charity
- Community / Voluntary Group
- Faith Group
- Social Enterprise/CIC
The Community Fund cannot be used for:
- Core staff salaries or core administrative costs (building running costs i.e. bills, rent etc.);
- Religious worship – applications are welcomed from religious or faith groups for projects that are designed to benefit the wider community. However, projects that are deemed to promote a particular religion are excluded;
- Party political activity, i.e. fundraising, campaigning or any other activity associated with any political party.
Projects will be scored based on their answers to question 5 of the application form (to what extent the project will make improvements to community life and people’s wellbeing); question 6 (how many people will benefit) and question 10 (the project’s value for money). Projects will also be subject to a public vote, which will be available online and through hard copy. Groups will participate in a funding event on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 to help showcase their projects for this public vote.
The closing date for applications is Friday 23rd November 2018, 12 noon.

You will be asked to complete a new supplier form if your application is successful in March 2019, please can you ensure this is completed and returned immediately so there are no delays in processing the funding. Failure to return will result in delaying ALL grants.
