To coincide with the America’s Cup, Wirral Sailing Centre will offer people the chance to try out watersports at discount prices.
The sessions on offer are in sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, stand up paddle boards and power boating and cost just £12.50 per person per session.
They will be held on 25th and 26th July – the weekend when preliminary rounds of the America’s Cup take place in Portsmouth – and take place from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm each day. Participants must be 8 years old or older.
Councillor Chris Meaden, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Sport and Culture, said: “We are keen to attract people from all over Wirral, to come and see the internationally-renowned resource that is West Kirby Marine Lake. At £12.50 per session, it represents a very competitive rate which will hopefully broaden the appeal of our watersports activities.”
“Thousands of people travel to Wirral every year from across the world to use the Marine Lake. We are committed to providing leisure and cultural opportunities for all, and with such a wonderful resource on hand we need to ensure everyone can access it.”
