Wirral Remembers Srebrenica – 11th July 2019

Wirral Council & the National Education Union (NEU) are proud to host Wirral Remembers Srebrenica – working to bridge community divide and confront hate, by learning lessons from recent history.

This event will hear from speakers with in depth knowledge of the events of recent European history as well as key community and religious representatives.

Wirral Remembers Srebrenica seeks to inspire people to challenge those who wish to divide, by promoting Respect & Tolerance Across Wirral Communities.

Fifty years after the world said “Never Again” to the horrors of the Holocaust, genocide took place on European soil

Genocide does not happen overnight. It begins when hatred and intolerance are left unchallenged

On the 24th Anniversary of this atrocity, Wirral joins with Remembering Srebrenica in this year’s theme ‘Bridging the Divide – Confronting Hate’

Date: Thursday, July 11th

Time: 4:30 to 6pm – Registration & Refreshments from 4pm

Venue: Wirral Change, 2 St Laurence Drive, Birkenhead, CH41 3JD

Car Park Entrance: Beckwith Street East, Birkenhead, CH41 3JE
