A small grants programme has been launched for community-based food providers to help ensure that food and essential items are available to people most in need across Wirral over the winter months.
The £250,000 Fund is available for bids of up to £10,000 from local groups and organisations. Applications must be received by email no later than Tuesday 1 December 2020 (12 noon).
Groups are required to have spent their funding by 31 March 2021 and provide a brief outcome report shortly after. Quantitative data will be required (for inclusion in a data return to the government) on set dates in February 2021 and April 2021.

It should be noted that Wirral Council reserves the right to ask providers to adjust their proposal, subject to further guidance being received from the government.
Closing date
Closing date to send applications is Tuesday 1 December 2020 at 12 noon.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application the week commencing 30 November 2020 and grants will be paid the week commencing 7 December 2020.
