“Hello All,
Please feel free to share this information within your teams and with any partners you feel are relevant.
I am emailing to make you aware of the WEB Boy’s Group Service that operates on a Monday evening 4.30pm-6.30 at Gautby Road Play & Community Centre, Birkenhead. The service provides a safe, fun space for boys between 9 & 13 years old. We are currently open for referrals and I have attached the referral form for your information. Boys can also self-refer by attending on the evening. We already receive referrals from a number of agencies and will welcome any young person between the ages of 9 & 13.
The group is ran by a talented team of staff and volunteers who’s main role is to provide positive role models for the boys they work with. The group provides activities such as painting, art, craft, sport, self-defence, games, yoga, relaxation, aromatherapy massage and much more. Each activity is provided with the underlying ethos of building the boy’s confidence and self-esteem and proving them a space in which they can relax, have fun and feel safe.
As a member of WEB’s Boy’s group the boys also have access to WEB’s Award winning Pathways 2M Powerment Programme looking at issues such as anger, behaviour modification, presentation skills, art and play therapy, aspirations, confidence & moving on from difficult life experiences. The group holds a maximum of 12 boys per session so that staff and volunteers can build strong and positive relationships with the children and young people to enable them to offer support, advice and guidance on a range of subjects e.g. home life, keeping safe, abuse, school, education, sex and relationships etc.
