This year is Lions International Centenary year. Lions club are present in 200 countries and have over 2 million volunteers in World. They raise funds for good causes. Wallasey Lions club last year completed 40 years raising funds to help individual and organisations in Wallasey. Every year we raise over £12000.00. This money we use to help individual or local organisations. Now we would like to concentrate on youth activity in local area
Wallasey Lions are pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new project, open to all Wallasey residents between the ages of 11-18. The only criteria being the entrant must be sponsored by either their school or a recognised youth organisation.
There will by a number of project options, all of which closely follow the Lions objectives for youth, examples of which are ‘Young Leaders In Service’, the Peace Poster & Music competition. We are proposing a nominal sum, payable to the sponsor school/organisation of all entrants, to be used to enhance that body. Further to the initial payment there will be additional financial rewards to category and the overall winner(s).
We are proposing to hold an introductory meeting on Wednesday 18th May 2016 @ 7.30 p.m. at Wallasey club 140-142 Grove Road Wallasey Wirral CH45 0JF
