As Volunteering Week draws to a close, we are proud to publish the last batch of volunteering opportunities our Volunteering Team have discovered in the Wirral.

Opportunity Title: PALS (Patient Advice & Liaison Service)
Opportunity Description: Volunteers will be supporting patients to get swift resolution to any problems they encounter with GPs, pharmacies, opticians and dentists. This is a fulfilling role for any volunteer interested in health services.
When Required: Monday – Friday, mornings and afternoons.
Name Of Organisation: WIRED
Opportunity Title: Counselling
Opportunity Description: Volunteers will support carers who are in need of in depth emotional support. This role is useful for volunteer counsellors in need of 100 hours experience to qualify.
When Required: Monday – Friday, mornings and afternoons.
Name Of Organisation: Active Citizens Wirral Association
Opportunity Title: Lunch Club Helpers
Opportunity Description: Required twice a month on a Thursday to help in the Lunch Club which will be held in Wirral Change, Birkenhead.
When Required: Thursday morning and afternoon.

Opportunity Title: Treasurer
Opportunity Description: Treasurer needed for twice monthly meetings. The role will include, the control and signing and withdrawing of funds and reporting on funding within the organisation.

Opportunity Title: Office/Clerical Worker
Opportunity Description: The Dale Farm Trust (Registered Charity No 1156516) requires a person to carry out word processing, Powerpoint, spreadsheets and general filing skills.
When Required: Monday – Sunday mornings, afternoons and evenings.
Name Of Organisation: AiW Health
Opportunity Title: Exercise Leader
Opportunity Description: The volunteer will help the organisation in delivering exercise sessions to people who have not exercised for a long time, or who have never exercised at all enabling them to develop their own 30 min routines that they can carry out at home.
When Required: Monday and Wednesday, mornings and afternoons.
Name Of Organisation: AiW Health
Opportunity Title: Receptionist/Administration Assistant
Opportunity Description: AiW Health are looking for volunteers to help provide a professional and effective reception service to clients and visitors. The volunteers will be part of the Reception Team notifying staff on the arrival of clients and visitors; ensuring that they receive a parking pass; arranging taxis as required; booking interview rooms as necessary; distributing incoming mail and contributing to the smooth running of the various projects whilst ensuring confidentiality at all times.
When Required: Monday – Friday, mornings and afternoons.

Opportunity Title: Voluntary Administrator/Receptionist
Opportunity Description: Hoole Road Hub are looking for a volunteer to fulfil the role of an Administrator/ Receptionist to help and assist with the smooth running of the project.
When Required: Monday – Saturday mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Opportunity Title: Promotions and Events Assistant
Opportunity Description: Promotions and Events Assistants will be responsible for identifying and uploading Wirral events directly onto the website, along with assisting with the promotion of Healthwatch Wirral.
When Required: Monday – Sunday mornings, afternoons and evenings.
Name Of Organisation: Pre School Learning Alliance
Opportunity Title: Baby & Toddler Group Supporter
Opportunity Description: The volunteer will visit and support parents, children and the organisers of baby/parent toddler groups to ensure a safe, positive experience for children and parents. This is a great role for someone who is seeking experience or has experience in helping with young children’s activities. There are 35 settings across the Wirral, and this is organised on a schedule by the Alliance. Your role will be based from Leasowe Childrens Centre and the group sessions will be held at local churches and community centres. As a volunteer you will engage with parents to get involved with children’s activities and with children learning. All activity sessions are under 2 hours.
When Required: Monday – Friday, mornings and afternoons.
Name Of Organisation: Wirral Mencap
Opportunity Title: Treasurer
Opportunity Description: Wirral Mencap are looking for a Treasurer to join their dedicated board of Trustees to support the ongoing running and development of the organisation. They will oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
