An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced caseworker to join our dedicated Ask Us Wirral team of paid staff and volunteers. Consideration may be given to a Trainee who can demonstrate some experience and a willingness to develop the skills required for this role.

Caseworker

Location: Wirral 

Hours: 35hrs per week

Contract type: Fixed term until 31st March 2021

FTE Salary: £23,691 (from 1 April 2020)

If you have experience of carrying out casework for individuals including benefits, housing, employment, debts, apply now.

You will deliver advice over the phone and face to face in settings across Wirral including GP surgeries, community outreach locations and on occasion in individuals homes. 

This exciting role, as part of Citizens Advice Wirral’s team, includes acting for the client where necessary and will include benefit appeal and tribunal work.

We are looking for Social Prescribing Link Workers to join our friendly, dynamic and progressive organisation, working across Healthier West Wirral Primary Care Network and with the voluntary, community and faith sector.

Wirral Primary Care Networks: Social Prescribing Link Worker (2 x FTE)

Location: Wirral 

Hours: 35hrs per week

Salary £21,106

The role

Social Prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to Link Workers who focus on ‘what matters to me’; take a holistic approach to an individual’s health and wellbeing, give time and connect people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Link Workers to join the existing team, extending the Social Prescribing service to deliver 1:1 personalised care to a wider patient population.  The successful candidate will work within one of the Primary Care Networks in Wirral, supporting General Practice and work with people who have long-term conditions (including support for mental health), people who are lonely or isolated, those who access primary and secondary care service frequently or who have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to be a good listener, have time for people and be committed to supporting local communities to care for each other and reduce health inequalities. You should have experience of working positively with people facing complex social and emotional challenges in either a paid or voluntary capacity; inspiring trust, building confidence and motivating. You will have great interpersonal skills; be empathetic, resilient and be able to maintain effective working relationships with partners across the sectors.
