Jan Foster is the chair and volunteer organiser for the Friends of Hoylake and Meols in Bloom
Jan has been involved with the charity since 2007.
The aim is to help Hoylake and Meols become a more beautiful place to live, visit, work and play by planting and caring for the many floral displays in the area, both in town and parks. Thus, enhancing the environment for everyone to enjoy.
They encourage the community to get involved and care for the parks and open spaces by improving the infrastructure. This is usually through holding events and running tea rooms (unfortunately not this year due to Covid-19).
They involve local businesses in the environment we all live in by sponsoring what we do and being involved in the community events we hold in our parks.
They get local businesses in Hoylake and Meols involved by getting them to sponsor they work they do. The businesses also get involved in the community events that are held in parks.
