Thrive not Survive

This year has had a tremendous impact on us all, with those in the third sector picking up a colossal amount of front line tasks.

Danny Bourne (MD of Catalyst DO) and Jessica Gallier (CEO of The Martin Gallier Project) with the backing of Community Action Wirral recognised a potential huge skills gap in regards to supporting Mental Health Challenges within these organisations. Many of whom are silently undertaking this crucial support without the training they both need and deserve.

To that end, we decided action needed to be taken. We have successfully secured a small pot of funding from The National Lottery to provide a robust training package, equipping these key workers with Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training and Applied Suicide Intervention Training (ASIST) on a heavily subsidised basis.

In the new year a programme of 4 MHFA and 3 ASIST courses has been drafted to enable maximum uptake and flexibility.

If you are part of the 3rd sector on the Wirral and interested in undertaking this training please contact

Proposed course dates are:

MHFA 2 day-11th & 12th January

ASIST 2 day-1st & 2nd February

MHFA 2 day-11th & 12th February

ASIST 2 day-1st & 2nd March

MHFA 2 day-11th & 12th March

ASIST 2 day-6th & 7th April
