Wirral Borough Council Title: PROVIDER DAY – Wirral South Constituency Committee Tackling Social Isolation
The Wirral South Constituency Committee is commissioning a service to tackle existing/prevent further social isolation within the following sectors of the community:
- Older people
- People from black and ethnic minorities
- People who have substance misuse problems
- People with mental health issues
- Carers
The tender process has been deliberately developed to allow for organisations/collaborations to bid by individual ward, thus ensuring local knowledge and skills are utilised effectively. Bids for 1, 2, 3 , 4 or all 5 wards in Wirral South will be accepted. We have launched the Liverpool ONE Foundation Programme 1 again this week and it would be great if you could pass this message on to any groups you are working with/aware of please. The Liverpool ONE Foundation does not have a deadline and we will close the fund as soon as we have sufficient applications and make the sector aware of this via twitter, outreach agencies and our website. The guidance is the same in that applicants have 1 week after submitting their online application to submit supporting documents and these can be electronically sent to us. It has long been accepted that Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations make a considerable contribution to providing services and support to people and communities, often with a focus on those most in need. The VCSE Sustainability site is being run by the Big Lottery Fund on behalf of the Office for Civil Society. It aims to help VCSE organisations become stronger, more sustainable and more resilient, so that they can continue to support their beneficiaries in future years. The purpose of this site is to encourage VCSE organisations to think about their long term futures. The site contains a diagnostic tool to stimulate planning and transformation and an eligibility checker for the Local Sustainability Fund (LSF). Organisations wishing to apply to the LSF should complete both the diagnostic tool and the eligibility checker. Deadline for the first stage is 26th July 2015 http://vcsediagnostic.org.uk/about
