Sport in Erasmus+ In the field of sport, the Erasmus+ Programme aims to support actions that result in the development, transfer, and implementation of innovative ideas and practices at European, national, regional, and local level. It is also expected that Sport Actions will contribute to the development of a European dimension to sport, increasing cooperation and harmonisation between sport organisations. The Erasmus+ programme provides support for several opportunities in the field of sport, including funding for: Collaborative partnerships; Non-profit European sports events; Actions that strengthen the evidence base for policy-making. The programme is open to a variety of organisations, including, among others: Public sporting bodies, Sporting organisations, leagues, and clubs at any level, Sporting unions or representations, Organisations active in promoting physical activity, including social inclusion in sports, Event organisers in the sport sector.
Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity provides grants to hospitals and hospices across the UK to enhance and enrich the lives of patients. Our grant sizes range between £100 and £10,000.
Our next grant round opens in October. If your application is successful, you will be notified following our Trustee meeting in March 2016. All Grants are distributed on an annual basis. Application forms and guidelines are posted on this website from October and awards are made in the period January to March.
LandAid has launched an empty properties funding programme to bring empty properties into use for young people in housing need. LandAid will fund work which turns empty properties into supported accommodation for young people who are either homeless, or at severe risk of becoming homeless. LandAid welcomes applications from organisations with experience in renovating empty properties. The £1 million funding programme is now open to applications and will close at 10.00am on Monday 16 November 2015. We are looking for applications from: Organisations with experience of turning empty properties into safe, decent homes for people in housing need, and making them available at a rate they can afford. Organisations that can ensure that the completed property is exclusively for young people who are at risk of homelessness, and that support is provided to enable them to move forward positively with their lives. This support can be provided by the applicant organisation themselves, or a local partner.
Help The Homeless’s main funding remit is the regular allocation of grants (generally up to £5,000) for capital costs to small and medium-sized registered charities only (those with a turnover of under £1m per annum). All applications must relate to projects that assist individuals in their return to mainstream society, rather than simply offer shelter or other forms of sustenance. All applicants must use the official form and clearly describe the aims and structure of their organisation, their future plans and specific details of how any grant money will be spent. A copy of the latest available audited accounts is also required. The quarterly deadlines for grant applications each year are: 15th March / 15th June / 15th September / 15th December. There should be a minimum period of two years between the receipt of a decision on an application and a further application from the same organisation.
Jill Franklin Trust – Grants are typically £500 to £1000, and the trust has four areas in which it is soliciting grant applications. Self-Help groups, advice, training, and employment; to support people with a mental illness or learning difficulties, and their carers (parents etc.).
Respite care, and holidays (in the UK only). Grants for holidays are only given where there is a large element of respite care and only to registered charities, not to individuals. Organisations helping and supporting refugees and asylum-seekers coming to or are in the UK. The restoration (not “improvement”) of churches of architectural importance (half a page in Pevsner’s Buildings) and occasionally to other buildings of architectural importance. The church should be open to visitors every day.
