Tudor Trust makes grants, and provides other types of support, to voluntary and community groups working in any part of the UK. We particularly want to help smaller, community-led organisations which work directly with people who are at the margins of society: organisations which support positive changes in people’s lives and in their communities. We want to respond flexibly to your ideas and energy, and to fund effective organisations working to high standards. You don’t have to be a registered charity to apply to us. We can make grants to other organisations (for example constituted community groups, community interest companies and industrial and provident societies) as long as you can explain clearly how you would use our grant for charitable purposes.  Because we try to respond to the needs identified by organisations themselves, many of our grants take the form of core funding: funding which goes towards the core costs of running an organisation, including salaries, overheads and day-to-day running costs. Sometimes we may look at offering unrestricted funding, through a grant which can be used entirely freely to further an organisation’s charitable objectives. We can also provide project grants, capital grants for buildings or equipment and grants to help strengthen your organisation. There is no maximum or minimum grant. In some situations we may look at making a short-term loan if this is the most helpful solution and you can demonstrate how you will pay it back.  For more information go to the Tudor Foundation website

The Kelly Family Trust  has decided to prioritise its funding in favour of charities whose activities involve all or most family members in initiatives that support and encourage the family to work as a cohesive unit in tackling problems that face one or more of its members.  The overall objective is to reinforce the potential benefit and support that family members as a unit can give to each other. Applications are also welcomed from sports and health-related registered charities whose activities comply with the above criteria. The Trust will consider both capital and revenue grants.  The Trust is happy to support requests for core funding as well as project-based grants, and actively encourages applications from relatively new organisations to help them become established. Applications should be supported by annual accounts where available.  Grants are awarded twice a year to charities whose aims fall within the criteria of the Trust.  Grants will generally be in the range of £1000 – £5000, but Trustees will consider requests for higher amounts. Applications must be submitted by 1st March and 1st September to be considered at the subsequent meeting.  The Trustees will ask for more detail for those applications that pass the initial screening and may visit the projects they wish to support. The Trust application form is available to complete by downloading the form and returning it to the Grants Administrator by email.
