The Skelton Charity has approx. £100,000 in 2021 for grants to registered charities in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, and Merseyside (including the unitary authorities of Blackpool, Blackburn, Warrington, and Halton).
Modest grants, usually for between £500 and £3,000 may be awarded:
– normally only to registered charities
– to charities operating within the eligible geographical boundaries
– for one-off expenditure
– for projects or capital expenditure (this could include sessional costs and volunteer costs).
– to charities focussed on good causes
The Trustees are also willing to consider particular needs caused by the Covid19 pandemic and by adapting to new ways of working.
Applications must be submitted by 5pm on 28th May 2021 and will be considered by the Trustees in July.
Application is through an online application process and additional documents will be required to be uploaded, (eg. annual accounts, safeguarding policy, etc.)
Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS), who administer the grants programme, may contact applicants for additional information.
If your application is successful you will receive a letter confirming the amount that our Trustees have agreed to give towards the cost of your project. Their grant offers are valid for one year and are subject to certain terms and conditions.
