The Trustees have wide discretionary powers when resolving to make donations but always bear in mind the wishes of the benefactor and give preference to projects local to the Wirral, extending to Liverpool and in certain special circumstances to the wider area.
The Trustees wish to focus upon benefitting disadvantaged areas, where funding would considerably improve quality of life for the community.
Who can apply? Charities and Community Groups can apply if they are able to demonstrate a clear charitable purpose and benefit to the community. No grants will be made to individuals solely for personal circumstances.
The trustees have a maximum funding limit of £5,000 that one charity/organisation can receive each financial year. However, this remains subject to trustees discretion.
What is the process? Application forms should be requested from the Administrator. Only fully completed application forms will be considered.
The Trustees aim to meet twice a year to review grant applications, however, the Trustees are willing to consider applications prior to such meetings if a request for funding is towards a specific project or event requiring an earlier decision to be made. Such applications should state a closing date for the Trustees’ information. Please note that the Trustees may request additional information considered necessary on an individual basis.
Successful grantees are required to provide a receipt to the Trustees and complete an Evaluation Form explaining how the funds were used and evidencing that the funds granted were used only for the wholly charitable purposes as was originally requested. Evaluation forms will be provided by the Administrator.

Please note that the Trustees aim to distribute as high a percentage as possible of net funds received towards the charity’s purposes. In striving to keep costs to a minimum, not all applicants will be advised they have been unsuccessful. Accordingly, please supply copies of all the documents needed to support your application.
