The Green Homes Grant

0

With schools closed and millions of people having to stay at (and work from) home, household energy consumption is higher than ever.

The recently launched ‘Green Homes Grant’, which encourages homeowners and landlords to make energy-efficient home improvements, is a great way to help offset these rising energy costs.

Homeowners in England and Wales can receive vouchers worth up to £5,000 as a contribution to make their homes more energy efficient, thanks to a Government Scheme that launched in September 2020. Low income households can receive 100% of the funding for home improvements up to the sum of £10,000.

Help us spread the word on the Green Homes Grant by sharing the useful guide. It contains lots of useful information such as:

  • A good overview of the Green Homes Grant – what it covers and who is eligible to benefit from this scheme.
  • How it helps 650,000 homes in England and Wales get access to better home insulation, low carbon heating, and other home energy efficiency improvements.
  • How the scheme will help the UK achieve its goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
  • Advice to help homeowners and tradespeople sign-up for this scheme – including a useful Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section.
