#TeamDDB a group of local fundraisers have recently raised nearly £6,000 for Wirral Foodbank.

Inspired by Marcus Rashford’s plea to end child food poverty in the UK, Danny and his team decided to do a number of fundraisers in aid of Wirral Foodbank (including Mo’vember, sponsored Jogs and Sit ups, selling 2nd hand clothes, and even a mega Christmas Raffle!) The response and support they received was phenomenal, and in just a few months this amazing amount of money was raised.

Jamie Wright of #TeamDDB said “It was great to support such a great local charity, and more importantly those less fortunate on the Wirral. The work Wirral Foodbank do is fantastic, and we are very proud to be part of their ongoing efforts”

Richard Roberts of Wirral Foodbank added “Thank you to Danny and #TeamDDB and all who have supported the various events that have taken place to raise over an incredible amount for Wirral Foodbank.  This will be used to support the local community with emergency food support, in particular our work with local schools.  This makes a real difference, not only in providing food but also in addressing the underlying issues”.

#TeamDDB born from Danny de Brabander’s terminal cancer diagnosis in 2019, has now raised over £48,000 for the local community. Danny wanted to turn his negative situation into a positive by helping other charities, and people across the Wirral area. This is something Danny has recently been recognised for with the award of the prestigious ‘Wirral Award 2020’ by the Lord Mayor of Wirral Borough Council for ‘Outstanding Achievement’.

In addition to the fundraising efforts, #TeamDDB also works tirelessly to raise vital awareness for Bowel Cancer, as early diagnosis will result in successful treatment in 90% of cases!
