This opportunity follows the early engagement notice published earlier for the provision of support for victims and survivors of sexual abuse.
This follows a £4.85m fund provided to organisations last year which was administered to over 80 organisations on the Home Office’s behalf, by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk.
This year, £4.7m has already been provided proportionally to all 43 Police and Crime Commissioners, to administer to local provision for victim support. However this delivery vehicle may not be suitable for some organisations that work with victims and survivors across a wider geographic area, and therefore may find it difficult to bid successfully to Police and Crime Commissioners.
£600k has been withheld from the Police and Crime Commissioners fund specifically to allow for voluntary organisations to submit a proposal in regards to working with victims and survivors of sexual abuse, and if successful they will be allocated funding centrally via a Grant Agreement from the Home Office.
All bids must be for one year only, and bidders must be able to demonstrate the ability to spend their entire potential award by the end of the 2016-17 financial year. The fund will not be made available in 2017-18.
