North west charity Stick ‘n’ Step has appointed Amy Couture as Chief Executive to lead the organisation’s growth and development.
Formerly CEO at charity HemiHelp in London and also a trustee at the MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) Trust, Amy has a wealth of relevant experience to bring to the role, including working closely with trustees, overseeing fundraising and developing long term strategies for growth.
Commenting on her appointment, Amy says, “I share Stick ‘n’ Step’s ambition to reach more children across the region and I want to learn from the families who attend our centre to understand the challenges they face and how we can help them further. My main goal is to establish a sustainable long term funding structure to enable Stick ‘n’ Step to continually improve and expand its support services.”
Claire Hewitt, Chair of Trustees for Stick ‘n’ Step, comments, “Amy’s appointment comes at a time of very exciting growth and development for the charity and her skills and expertise will be invaluable to us. Creating the post of Chief Executive at Stick ‘n’ Step is part of our strategic plan to create a safe and secure future for the organisation.”
Stick ‘n’ Step provides support services to children with cerebral palsy and their families. The charity works with over 70 children, allowing the children to gain the skills they need to live independent lives through conductive education sessions. The specialist sessions are provided free of charge to the families by Stick‘n’ Step.
