Steve Morgan Foundation – Enable programme

The Steve Morgan Foundation was founded in 2001 by Steve Morgan CBE to support projects that help children and families, people with physical or learning disabilities, the elderly or those that are socially disadvantaged in North Wales, Merseyside, Cheshire (West of M6) and North Shropshire.

The Enable fund was launched in 2017 to provide support for disabled people who are in financial hardship, and live in the Foundation’s geographical area, to obtain specialised equipment that cannot be supplied by the NHS, Education or Social Services.

Since its launch last year, the Enable fund has awarded over 80 grants for specialised equipment, to the total value of over £385,000.  The type of equipment the Enable fund provides includes:

  • Mobility aids, wheelchairs, buggies, hoists, trikes
  • Specialised beds and sleep systems, postural chairs, seating and car seats
  • Sensory equipment
  • Communication aids, specialised software and alarms
  • Medical equipment, support wear
