WHO ARE THE PRINCE’S TRUST?

The Prince’s Trust believes every young person should be given the chance to flourish.

Since 1976, They’ve achieved a great deal, supporting one million young people across the UK, and have returned £1.4 billion in value to society over the last ten years alone. Yet, this still represents only a small proportion of the young people who might benefit from their support. Therefore, their ambitious strategy is to help a further million young people over the next five years.

Many of the young people the Trust helps are disadvantaged, either in, or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health issues, or have been in trouble with the law.

Free programmes give young people the practical skills and financial support they need to stabilise their lives. The Trust helps them develop key skills while boosting their confidence and motivation so they can continue to dream big.

What are they recruiting for?

The Prince’s Trust has a Team course that is a 12 week personal development programme for 16-24 year olds.

How Team works

“Our 12-week personal development programme, for the chance to gain new skills, take a qualification and meet new people”

When you come on board, you’ll be challenged to:

  • Take on your own group community project, making a positive difference to the place where you live
  • Take part in an action packed residential trip
  • Get two weeks’ work experience in something you’re interested in
  • Develop your English and Maths skills

As part of the course, we also spend some time developing your interview and CV skills to ensure your confidence is sky-high for when taking the next step.

Once you’ve completed the form email it to Prince’s Trust here: youthengagementteam@merseyfire.gov.uk
