Primary Care Mental Health Bidding Opportunity (Short Deadline- 29th June 2018)

Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are holding a lead provider market engagement event for providers of IAPT therapies. This is to engage with us in discussions about meeting the opportunities and requirements as set out in the Mental Health Five Year Forward view and beyond:
• Access target growth to 25% of the estimated population;
• Two-thirds of growth coming from integrated long-term conditions services;
• Increase therapists working in Primary Care;
• Wait time and recovery standards.

Across the CCG we provide services for 321,238 people. Further information on the existing pathways, demographics and service performance is found in the supplementary information (appendix one: Performance Data and Service information, appendix two: Pathways).
Wirral CCG also has a separate contract outside of our IAPT service for the delivery of secondary care Mental Health services. The successful Primary Care Mental Health service will work in an integrated framework with the existing secondary care mental health provider, ensuring a seamless pathway for patients accessing mental health services and work collaboratively with wider partners, the charity, faith and voluntary sector organisations in delivering integrated referral and care pathways maximising the use of social prescribing, self- help, early prevention and intervention.

We are specifically seeking providers with a track record or growth ambition in delivering services to a similar volume of access target as our CCG. We recognise the value in partnerships to deliver an effective range of IAPT interventions and welcome the presence of a lead provider with smaller partners who are integral to the success of IAPT delivery. If you are a lead provider looking to attend the lead provider market engagement event then we would ask that you complete a questionnaire (appendix 3). Responses to the questionnaire are to be submitted via the portal no later than 29th June 2018. Each interested LEAD provider will be issued a One hour time slot to speak to the commissioners about their responses to the questionnaire.

If you are a smaller provider of IAPT services who would wish to be involved in the delivery of IAPT across Wirral, please complete the subcontractor information sheet – smaller partners/smaller providers (appendix 4). This will ensure that our CCG is aware of your service offer, and as we progress with a procurement exercise, we will share your contact details with interested lead providers so that they are aware of your interest to work collaboratively on any potential bid. There will be no further CCG involvement in this process once details are shared with the Lead providers expressing an interest in the procurement process.

We hope this information is sufficient, however, should you have any queries to support your response to the questionnaire (lead/larger providers) or preparation for attendance, please submit them through the portal (https://www.nhssourcing.co.uk ). We will share any responses to your queries to all participating provider via the portal as it is updated.

The lead provider market engagement event is being held on Thursday 5th July between 9am – 5pm at:
Birkenhead Town Hall
Mortimer Street
Birkenhead
Wirral
CH41 5EU.

If you wish to attend the event please email [email protected] and ensure the return of your completed questionnaires by midnight Friday 29th June 2018. Slots will be allocated following this deadline.
