Our new Merseyside Police Commissioner, Emily Spurrell, has a clear goal in mind for the future of our peninsula. Here is what she has to say on her plans:
‘The Police and Crime Plan I will produce will set out the policing and community safety priorities for our region over the next three years. Your views will be at the heart of that plan. I want it to focus on the issues that matter most to you – that’s why it’s so important you have your say.
Throughout my campaign to be your Police Commissioner I promised I would focus on three key pillars:
- Fighting crime, proactive policing;
- Supporting victims, safer communities;
- Driving change, preventing offending
As part of the Merseyside wide consultation I would like to invite you on Tuesday 22nd June 13:30 to 14:30 to Wirral’s launch event, being held virtually via Teams (please see the link below).

The launch will provide the opportunity to share the outline for my plan, priorities and focus going forward. It will also be an opportunity to share your thoughts concerns and ultimately help shape the Police & Crime Plan for the next 3 years.
