Black, Asian and minority ethnic funding call
Invitation to apply for funding to promote deceased organ donation within black, Asian, mixed race and minority ethnic (BAME) communities
NHS Blood and Transplant have launched a funding call to enable organisations to apply for funding to positively engage local communities in organ donation, address myths and barriers, and increase support for organ donation among black, Asian, mixed-race and minority ethnic communities.
This scheme is part of the Government’s commitment to building support for organ donation amongst black, Asian, mixed-race and minority ethnic communities and we are aware that local trusted organisations may be more effective at doing this due to their specialist knowledge, understanding and standing in the community.
Applications can cover activity in England, Wales or both countries. The maximum amount organisations can apply for is £10,000.
Applications for activity proposed in England must be able to demonstrate how they will inform and engage people living in England around the change in the law around organ donation and encourage people to make and share their donation decision.
