New Trustees Required – Be the change you want to see in the world!

As part of our developing Organisational Review and identifying key recommendations, the Board of Trustees are now actively seeking new and committed members to join us as we emerge from the Covid pandemic. Challenging times. Come and join us.

In particular we are seeking Board members with an understanding of the needs of the Wirral’s diverse minority ethnic communities; skills in fundraising; digital media and public relations. Currently, we have strong representation from the local authority and we are now keen to encourage applicants from the area’s diverse communities so we can better reflect the communities we serve.

Guided by our Centre Manager the Board meets every two months and is responsible for the governance, financial accountability and strategic direction of the Wirral MultiCultural Organisation in the local community: https://www.wmo.org.uk

So we would like to have 2-3 new Trustees join with us to make a real difference to our grow and direction in future years.

The principal responsibilities of a Trustee on our board include:

  • Promoting and developing the charity through good governance
  • Maintaining sound financial management and control of charity resources
  • Contributing to the growth and fundraising strategy (as set out in our recent Organisational Strengths Review)
  • Determining the overall direction of the Wirral MultiCultural Organisation
  • Acting as an ambassador for the Wirral MultiCultural Organisation in the community.

If you feel that you have the skills, enthusiasm and aptitude to take on this, please email Aline Macready at providing us with your contact details and your CV. We look forward to hearing from you by Friday 3rd September 2021.
