The Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership (MVRP) has an upcoming consultation to encourage a dialogue around perceptions of safety and suggestions on where resources should be prioritised to improve these feelings.
The dialogue will open at 9am on Friday 13th November and will close for comment at 3pm on Friday 27th November.
The target audience is youth providers, youth workers, social workers, teachers and any other professionals working with young people.
The respective dialogue consultation links and QR codes will launch online on Friday 13th.
Rather than a traditional survey, they are piloting using a site called ‘Dialogue’ which will enable interaction between participants, as well as allowing them to interact with ideas and comments to encourage further discussion. MVRP will be moderating the site, more detail available here.
There are two parts to the dialogue:
Part 1: A specific young person’s dialogue site.
Part 2: A public dialogue site, with which all residents in Merseyside can participate.
Regarding part 1, they would like to invite you to register to one of their 30 minute briefings to find out more about how dialogue works and how you can use it to spark discussion with young people in your settings.
There are several briefing slots available, so please visit Eventbrite and sign up for the time which suits you best.
This is just one of many exciting opportunities for MVRP to engage the views of young people across the whole of Merseyside during a difficult time.
We hope that you will support the partnership to help ensure that our policies and decisions are directly influenced by what young people want and need.
