Birkenhead Park and Vale Park, New Brighton, have launched new facilities for Wirral’s elves and fairies.
The facilities are the result of partnership work between Wirral Council’s Ranger service, Wirral Met College and local community groups.
The fairy village at Vale Park was created in partnership with the pirates of the Black Pearl.
Community Action Wirral visited the fairy village on Tuesday and were amazed to see it already well populated by the local fairy population. The craftsmanship on display was simply magical!
Meanwhile, the elf village at Birkenhead Park was opened by Councillor Chris Meaden, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Sport and Culture, and her granddaughter, Hannah.
Councillor Meaden said: “We had such a lovely time opening the new village at Birkenhead Park. Our parks are important resources not only from an environmental perspective, but for the way that they help to develop the imaginations of young people.”
