A £4 million development of 34 houses and four apartments is being built by Magenta Living on the site where Melrose and Thornbridge tower blocks used to stand in Moreton.

The blocks were demolished by Magenta Living three years ago. The largest social landlord on Wirral is now redeveloping the site.

Chief Executive of Magenta Living, Brian Simpson, said: “I am delighted that the former tower-block site is being turned into a new estate with a total of 38 homes.

The development is just part of our vision of providing homes and building communities where all can thrive.”

Councillor, Anita Leech, who represents the area said: “I am always pleased to see new homes built and communities flourish,  in this area in particular as there is a shortage of family properties. I look forward to welcoming the new tenants.”
