Linked-Up Network 1st April 2016
Dear Colleagues,
Please see attached the notes from the last Linked-Up meeting in which Jane Egan Early Help & CAF Team manager came to update the sector on recent changes.
We have now included a brief issues and challenges section into the agenda for each Linked-Up meeting so that we can productively inform the Local Authority of shared concerns the Voluntary, Community, Faith sector are facing and receive feedback on these.

If you are currently attending steering groups or are a member of any boards – we ask that you attend the Linked-Up meeting to update the group. It is also important to gather information from the group to take back to the respective boards. Good VCF representation across Wirral is a key feature of the Linked-Up Network and we need to come together to bring this into practice.
We now have representation on the CAF Quality Assurance group and are focusing on creating a pool of CAF Champions that can be accessed through the Linked-Up Network. Also, we urgently need representation on the Safeguarding Board. If your organisation is interested in any of the above please contact [email protected] for more information.
As you know I sit on the Children’s Trust Board and I find this to be an interesting and well-paced meeting. I see it as an opportunity to highlight the diverse range of services being offered by the VCF sector and to ensure that as a sector we are fully involved in strategy on Wirral.
I would therefore encourage organisations to consider nominating colleagues that are keen to develop and want to be a part of Wirral’s wider picture to come forward and represent the sector on one of the various groups or boards that are running.
Finally, if you are attending a steering group or are a board member please let me know so we can map where we have representation and the gaps we still need to fill.
