Ideal for staff or volunteers delivering generic advocacy as part of a wider none advocacy role or those taking the first step into advocacy.
Aims and Objectives: This is an introductory qualification for learners who are interested in acquiring knowledge about the role of an Independent Advocate. It is a 25 hour course and is aimed at people providing advocacy as part of their working or volunteering role who wish to consolidate their knowledge and practice
Course Structure: There is 1 full classroom day led by an experienced course tutor and learners will be required to complete guided study, directed and self-directed study outside of the classroom setting.This will meet the 25 hours required by City and Guilds for the qualification.
Accreditation: This a single unit qualification. This course is accredited by City and Guilds. It will provide learners with an accreditation at Level 2 and could lead onto a vocational Level 3 qualification in Independent Advocacy either at Certificate or Diploma Level.
