LCR Listens – Social Economy CVS Event

You may be aware that Liverpool City Region Combined (LCR) Authority are in the process of developing their Local Industrial Strategy.

There is an opportunity for you to join the Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and officers from the Combined Authority, to hear more about the work LCR has delivered so far and to provide you with an opportunity to share your views on what’s important to the Liverpool City Region going forward.

Through a collaborative approach with partners the Local Industrial Strategy will articulate how LCR will build on our distinctive economic strengths, tackle our challenges, and develop transformational policies to unlock growth and be a catalyst to the development of an inclusive economy.

The Local Industrial Strategy will be focused across four key priorities:

• Good work, health and wellbeing for all;
• Vibrant and connected communities;
• More businesses innovating and growing;
• Clean growth.

The strategy will be underpinned by evidence and we are building a strong understanding of the City Region’s economic strengths and assets. This is summarised in a Position Statement, published in July 2019. You can read the statement in more detail here :-

Please book onto the event to ensure that the voices of the social economy and community and voluntary sector in the Liverpool City Region are articulated and integrated into the next stage of our work. The event will be held :-
