Consultation – LCR Fair Employment Charter

In response to the Metro Mayor, Steve Rotheram’s ambition to improve the world of work in the Liverpool City Region (LCR), the LCR Combined Authority (CA) has been developing a Fair Employment Charter, which is hopefully going to be rolled out later this year.

Steve and the CA want the Fair Employment Charter to recognise those organisations that are already doing the ‘right thing’ in relation to employment (i.e. carrying out good and fair employment practices), whilst also encouraging and offering a pathway for other employers to learn, develop, and improve their employment practices.

Following the significant amount of research, engagement and consultation undertaken to date, the CA is now consulting widely with people through an online survey to help them to better understand how to shape the Fair Employment Charter.  They want to hear the views of employers (including our sector), Trade Unions, individual employees, etc., so it is important the VCSE sector employers get their views heard and taken in to account.

Deadline for responses: Thursday 9th April 2020
