The Community Environment Fund (CEF) complements the Mayor’s vision to “Build Back Better”, and will contribute to a green recovery in the Liverpool City Region (LCR) by assisting organisations to expand their good work and to support communities to engage in a range of environmental activities.
The CEF aims to:
- Improve the environment in the LCR.
- Encourage long-term behavioural change.
- Promote community engagement and participation in environmental projects.
Streams 1 and 2 launched a few weeks ago and have a closing date of Monday 2nd November 9am.
Stream 3 has now officially launched!
Stream 3 is for community projects that will achieve environmental benefits in a specific area of the Liverpool City Region, such as a school, local park or street. Applicants are able to apply for £300 to £1,500.
The closing date for Stream 3 applications is Monday 23rd November at 9am.
Applications are encouraged from those who are part of a formalised group and are not for profit. For example; charities, schools or colleges, faith groups, residents associations or ‘friends of’ groups. Applications will be accepted from other organisations, such as local authorities, if their projects have a strong community engagement focus or if they have a community partner.
