Job Vacancy – Deputy Centre Manager (Maternity Cover 9mths)

 WEB’s mission is to provide a safe, supportive and empowering space in Wirral for women, men, and children to raise their hopes and aspirations, build their resilience and coping techniques, improve their personal and professional relationships and increase their self-esteem and confidence. We do this through a range of 1:1 and therapeutic group support and a wide variety of confidence building, anger management and therapeutic training; to support them to create the future they want.

Deputy Center manager post will consist of supporting Centre Manager with general day to day operation of the organization, staff management, running P2MP training for service users, overseeing projects, staff and volunteer supervision, responsible for Community matters contract and operational management of the young women’s groups.  Part of this role will also be to support and progress the expansion of WEB Merseyside through applying for funding opportunities in line with WEB’s Ethos and Mission.


WEB Merseyside works across 4 premises; 176 Corporation Road, Birkenhead, Gautby Road Play & Community Centre; 32 Argyle Street, 10-12 Bentinck street and various local schools and community groups.

SALARY: £27,300 per annum, pro rata (equivalent to £15.00 per hour)

CONTRACT; Fixed Term Post Maternity Cover: (9mths cover)

HOURS; 35hrs per week

Monday to Friday flexible hours, incl some weekends and weekly evening groups (Mondays and Wednesdays), and minimum 1 other evening per week for training (4hrs, night to be agreed via service user need/consultation).   Flexibility needed around other hours according to schools/community/capacity for training/1-1s & meetings etc.
