Job Title: DWP Connectors
Salary: £20,400 per annum
Contracted Hours: 37 hours per week
Reporting to: Connect Us Head of Service
Start Date: December 2021
Length of Contract: 12 months fixed term
Location: DWP Birkenhead/Bromborough Job Centre
Purpose: As a DWP Connector, you will be based full time at a local Job Centre, working specifically with DWP
Customers who attend. You will need to liaise closely with the wider Connect Us Project to enable longer-term
support and links to the community where required. Core values of the role will include supporting members
with improvements to their wellbeing and discovering their dreams, skills, and aspirations.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• To work with community members who may present with immediate need or crisis and assist them in linking
into the most appropriate services to address this in a timely manner.
• Maintain links and knowledge around local services, organisations, and agencies.
• Engage with individuals to help them to identify, develop and work towards their goals.
• Connect with and signpost/refer individuals to relevant organisations, groups, assets, and community
activities, including health/work-related activities where applicable.
• Work with the wider team to identify local informal groups and associations and build relationships.
• Contribute to participatory research and any evaluations, consultations and wider requirements as
identified by Involve Northwest.
• Support the Connect Us project with the community and organisational events as required.
• To work in line with set contract targets, and monitor and record all work on a CRM system to enable you
to produce quality monthly reports.
• To respond to referrals from DWP Advisors, Connect Us team and self-referrals/drop-in.
• To promote ‘Spare 5’ in all aspects of work and report monthly on figures.
• To promote positive engagement and experiences with the Job Centre to support members.
A car owner is desirable but not essential.
