The Interchange Experience (T.I.E) is for all Voluntary & Community Organisations (VCOs) or groups that are not-for-profit or have charitable and/or community aims and objectives.
We are a registered charity that connects Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with (VCOs) from Greater Merseyside for the purpose of research and work-based learning projects.
We have a NEW Offer!
We are introducing a new Module to support the demands of the VCO sector and to give many more of our students the opportunity to work in this field.
We understand that VCOs are working hard to implement national and local policies relevant to their organisation. We also recognise that some policies are very cumbersome and are not easy to put into practice. Our new offer is to support you and your colleagues by collaborating with an Interchange Student to produce a report on how a specific piece of legislation is put into action in your organisation.
How will it work?
Interchange will collect your policy ideas during April – June 2018 and produce a list of available ideas for up to 50 students to access. You will have two meetings (between September 2018 – January 2019) with the student that has been matched to your project idea. The student will carry out investigations on the relevant policy and produce a bespoke Policy Analysis Report or a Literature Review specific to your requirements that will ultimately benefit your organisation.
When will it start?
Our aim is to start the module in September 2018. It will run till January 2019. This means that you will have your Policy Analysis Report or a Literature Review by the end of January 2019 and be able to use it immediately.
Who are our Students?
Our students are Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology students from the University of Liverpool’s School of Law and Social Justice.
Is there a charge for this service?
We make no charge for our service – but we do ask VCOs to meet the basic travel expenses incurred by the student(s).
