Cerebral palsy charity Stick ‘n’ Step is looking for volunteers to get involved with Fundraising in February next month. All kinds of fundraising challenges are available, including Step Up for Stick ‘n’ Step, a 10,000 steps a day challenge, which is taking place throughout the whole month.

To take part in this epic fitness challenge, click here. Once you have signed up, Stick ‘n’ Step will send you everything you need to stay motivated and hit your daily step goal. As well as a fundraising pack and exclusive access to a supportive WhatsApp Group, the charity will also provide you with top fundraising tips.

Even in the current lockdown, there are many ways you can clock up extra steps. These include doing an online fitness class at home, taking the dog out, meeting a friend (where allowed) for a socially distanced walk, dusting off your old dance mat, stepping on the spot when you’re watching TV or you could even just potter in your garden. Always make sure you are observing the rules for social distancing in your area.

Community Fundraiser for Stick ‘n’ Step, Kim Wright says, “Step up for Stick ‘n’ Step is a great fitness goal, particularly if you are trying to improve your fitness levels and lose weight. Fundraising for us at the same time will also mean we’re able to continue our vital work of providing life changing support to the children and young adults who we support at Stick ‘n’ Step.”

“You could get your work colleagues, friends or family to take part too. Healthy competition can be a great motivator! Some employers are happy to do ‘match funding’, which means you could double the amount you raise too.“

Stick ‘n’ Step has some great giveaways to reward your fundraising efforts. Raise £200 and you’ll receive an exclusive Stick ‘n’ Step branded draw string sports bags, while top fundraisers will receive an exclusive Stick ‘n’ Step hoodie.

Stick ‘n’ Step offers support services to children with cerebral palsy and their families. The charity provides the children with totally free of charge conductive education sessions, allowing them to gain the skills they need to live more independent lives. Over 100 children from across the region can attend these sessions weekly or twice weekly at the charity’s Wallasey and Runcorn centres.
