Graded Care Profile 2 – Train the Trainer Opportunity

Wirral Safeguarding Children Board are offering the opportunity to participate in a Graded Care Profile 2 train the trainer course on 11th and 12th June 2019.

Graded Care Profile was created by consultant paediatrician Dr Srivastava. We worked with Dr Srivastava to develop a more user-friendly and comprehensive version of the tool, called Graded Care Profile 2 (GCP2).

The tool helps professionals measure the quality of care being given to children, where there are concerns that they might be being neglected. Professionals use GCP2 to ‘grade’ aspects of family life on a scale of 1 to 5. The assessment helps identify the support needed to improve the level of care children receive.

Staff cannot use the GCP2 tool until they have attended the training and training can only be delivered by those who attend the train the trainer. Therefore the more who are trained to deliver, the quicker the roll out of GCP2 to frontline professionals in Wirral.

If you can identify any professionals in your organisation who are willing to join the pool of licensed trainers, please send their contact details, by next Friday (17th May) at the latest, to David Robbins, WSCB Business Manager at [email protected]

The commitment will be to deliver at least 4 days training in the first year and 2-3 days per year thereafter.
